Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 0.75 cup warm water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup San Marzano tomatoes, crushed
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt and pepper
Instructions

In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.

Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.

Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven.

Roll out dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.

Spread crushed tomatoes over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.

Top with mozzarella slices and drizzle with olive oil.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
